THE MAGIC CITY, NOV 2020

Our exclusive daddy cap collection is inspired by Miami's cultural movements in the last century. The iconic tropical lifestyle has had a huge impact on the evolution of architecture, music and fashion as we know it today.

Art Deco Architecture

After the downturn of the real estate market and the ‘Great Miami Hurricane’, the Art Deco Architectural style landed on the coast of Florida all the way from France in the early 40s. Art Deco covers a range of styles as Tropical, Streamline and Med-deco. A style that was supported by the belief that times would get better, and was infused with optimistic futurism.

Miami sound

The music of Miami is a diverse and important field in the world of music. The influence of the Latin-American inhabitants meant a lot for the diverse musical hub in the Greater Miami Area. In the early 1970s, the Miami disco and soul sound came to life and artists like Aretha Franklin and the Bee Gees moved to Miami to add the tropical lifestyle to their sound.

Tropical hotspot

The 90s where definitely Miami's golden ages. Because of its tropical climate and the high amount of sunshine, Miami has been and continues to reign as one of the hippest hangouts on earth. Celebrities were drawn to the warm, the fashion industry took off, and the Art Deco architecture became the mainstay of backdrops for modeling crews.
